ACCESSIBILITY

In response to the need to ensure equal access to electronic and information technologies, the Alabama Arts Alliance has adopted the State of Alabama set of standards for Web page design. Just as environmental obstacles have inhibited individuals with disabilities, the Web poses an entirely new set of obstacles. In recognition of those individuals with visual, physical, or developmental disabilities the Alabama Arts Alliance has adopted a policy to make government information accessible to all. We are working on converting all documents to be accessible.

 All Alabama Alliance for Arts Education programs, services and facilities are fully accessible to all segments of Alabama’s population. The Alliance offices and facilities are barrier free. As a partnership program of the Alabama State Council on the Arts, we have adopted the policies and practices of the Council http://www.arts.alabama.gov/access.aspx

The Alabama Arts Alliance is a statewide partnership program of the Alabama State Council on the Arts, is a member of Americans for the Arts, the Southeastern Arts Advocacy Group, and a partner with the Alabama State Department of Education. Projects and programs are supported by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, South Arts Inc., Support the Arts License Tag Fund, and individual donations.
