SAIL 2025: “Weaving the Arts into the Curriculum”

June 16 - 18, 2025, in Montgomery

SAIL is an intensive summer workshop designed to provide high-quality professional development for teachers and administrators, focusing on arts integration.

Registration will open soon!

SAIL is geared towards educators and focuses on the arts and arts integration using hands-on art making and media arts.

This year’s theme emphasizes the integration of dance, music, theater, visual arts, and media arts with core academic subjects (math, science, social studies, geography, literature, etc.), fostering creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary connections in education.

SAIL is designed to provide valuable training and resources for everyone:

• PreK-12 classroom teachers
• Arts Specialists
• Community Arts leaders
• Administrators
• Arts Advocates

"I enjoyed each session at SAIL. Each class was very informative and I was able to get great ideas that I will be able to implement into my classroom this year."

Our summer arts integrated professional development workshop was held at Troy University Montgomery Campus on June 24-26 and was a great hit!

This 3-day arts integrated workshop was in part funded by the Alabama State Council on the Arts and provided participants with a variety of subject matters, skills and viewpoints.  We had a lot of hands-on and movement activities, but also deeper discussions about difficult conversations and burnout.
